Donations and refunds

Donations support the day-to-day work of Alodia Arts: publishing writing through Alodia Paper, presenting visual work through Alodia Gallery, developing emerging artists and writers through mentorship and learning, and keeping the platform itself online and accessible. Contributions are used where the need is greatest across these activities.

Online donations are made through our donation partner Donorbox, which processes the payment securely on our behalf. Alodia Arts does not see or store your card details. You can give once or set up a recurring contribution, and you can manage or cancel a recurring donation through the confirmation email Donorbox sends you.

A donation is a voluntary contribution. It does not buy a product or service, and no goods are exchanged for it. Buying a book is separate: books are requested through the marketplace, and payment and delivery are then arranged directly with the Alodia Arts team, usually over WhatsApp. If you intended to buy a book rather than donate, contact us before completing the donation form.

If you believe a donation was made in error, was duplicated, or was made without your authorisation, email admin@alodiaarts.com within 14 days of the payment with your name, the date and the amount. We review every request individually and refund genuine mistakes and unauthorised transactions.

For book orders, contact us as soon as possible. Because payment and delivery are coordinated directly, an order can usually be changed or cancelled before it is confirmed for delivery.

Alodia Arts does not present donations as tax-deductible and does not issue charitable tax receipts. If tax treatment matters to you, please seek independent advice before donating.
