Alodia Arts celebrates South Sudanese expression through writing, visual arts and digital storytelling. Our purpose is to archive, uplift and share the voices shaping our culture today.

Our story

South Sudan is home to extraordinary artists, yet too many have had no dedicated platform where their work can be published, exhibited and discovered. Art is how communities process history, celebrate identity and imagine the future. Alodia Arts was created to give that work a lasting home and to connect creators with mentors, opportunities and ways to earn from their creativity.

Our creative forms

Alodia Paper supports writing, poetry, short fiction, essays, articles and other literary forms. Alodia Gallery presents painting, drawing, photography, illustration, digital art, mixed media and visual narratives. Alodia Arts does not currently publish video or music.

Our geographic reach

Alodia Arts is based in Paris, Île-de-France, France, and works with country directors in Juba, Nairobi, Kigali and Kampala. This network reflects where our people work; it does not imply that Alodia Arts maintains a physical office in every city.
